Weather of Delhi

New Delhi is situated on the banks of river Yamuna enjoys the extreme type of climate. Being the part of the Aravalli ranges Delhi is adorned with lush green meadows and gardens.
Delhi being not a coastal area has an extreme type of continental climate. The summers in Delhi are very hot and humid. In winters the weather becomes very cold. The maximum temperature ranges varies from 45 degrees and minimum to 4 degrees in winters. The chilled cold wave from the Himalayan region makes winters extremely cold, usually morning and evenings are covered by heavy mist and fog. During summers the city is coated with tremendous heat waves, proper precautions should be taken before going out in the hot summer afternoons. New Delhi also gets Monsoon showers in the month of June and September making the weather pleasant.

Spring seasons, from February to April and August to November are the best seasons to visit Delhi. This is the time of the year when the royal city with a picturesque beauty brims with meadows, abounding with a variety of flowers. In fact, anyone with an eye for the inspiring splendor of nature will fall for Delhi.
