Around Alwar

Siliserh (13 km from Alwar):
A calm place to relax in the nature's lap, where silence prevails in the air, broken only by chirping of birds and by the zipping motion of paddle boats, steering through the picturesque Siliserh lake. While on their way to Sariska Tiger Reserve, people generally like to stopover in the serene surroundings, where they discover their love for nature finds its gradual growth.

The Siliserh Palace which is now converted into a hotel, faces the sparkling blue Siliserh lake, offering a heavenly view between the woods. Getting There & Away:
A good option is to hire a taxi or a cab which will cost you about Rs 300. A cheaper option would be a crowded tempo from Alwar, which will just cost you about Rs. 10 or Rs 15.

Kesroli (12km from Alwar):
Kesroli has one of the oldest heritage sites of India, the Kesroli Hill Fort, which belongs to the 14th century. A major part of the fort now serves as a five star hotel, which is administered from the Neemrana fort. Neemrana (75 km north of Alwar):
Located on an easily accessible Delhi to Jaipur highway route, Neemrana is a small town known for nature's splendors and the famous Neemrana fort. The place is named after Nimola Deo, whose kingdom was taken over by the Chauhans. The Neemrana Fort was built by Maharaja Devi Singh Ji and it was from here that Prithviraj Chauhan III and his descendants ruled and administered their kingdoms.

The fort, a prime attraction of the town, is now converted into a heritage hotel offering magnificent views from the hillock on which it is situated. It spans across 25 acres, rising gradually in ten levels. The comforts offered by its interiors are arresting to the traveler as one can find royal antique showpieces and furniture along with beautiful paintings that decorate its corridors and courtyards. Intercity buses and AC coaches from Delhi to Jaipur generally stopover at Behror, from where one can take a taxi or a cab to Neemrana, which is 14 km from Behror.
