Baggar

Baggar is a small village of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, situated at a distance of 15 km from Jhunjhunu. It is known for its Piramal Haveli that preserves Shekhawati paintings and frescoes on its medieval walls.

Piramal Haveli:
A reflection of the colonial buildings, Piramal Haveli, was built by Seth Piramal Chaturbhuj Makharia who was a merchant of silver, opium and cotton. The haveli has sprawling gardens and pillared courtyards. The interiors of the haveli are traditional with antique furnishings and frescoes adorning the walls. The haveli now serves as a heritage hotel. It has got only eight rooms, so prior bookings are needed. Food served here is completely vegetarian.
