Introduction

On the way to Jodhpur from Nagaur lies the 500 years old Khimsar fort amidst the vast Thar desert all around it. The magical quality of the desert enhances the charm of the fort built in 1523. The apartment for royal ladies - Zenana - was added in the 18th century. Further in 1940 the fort was given a new wing. The fort has now been transformed into a heritage hotel equipped with lavish well appointed rooms and all modern amenities.
